For workplaces where a first aider isn't always nearby
Some people work alone, outdoors, across sites, or in small mobile teams. When something goes wrong, they're the first on scene — whether they're trained or not.
The First Aid in the Workplace Code of Practice recognises it may not always be practicable to have a trained first aider available at all times. For those workplaces, giving people information and instruction on how to respond to a serious injury or illness is a sensible extra layer — and this course is built to be exactly that.

No. This is a non-accredited awareness course provided by ABC First Aid RTO 3399. Participants receive a certificate of completion — it doesn't replace accredited first aid training where your workplace needs it.
How is this related to your accredited courses?
It's built on the same online learning our accredited participants complete before their practical session. You get the knowledge component, without the in-person assessment.
Do participants receive a certificate?
Yes — a certificate of completion, issued once the course is finished.
How long does it take?
It's self-paced. Most people work through it in a few hours, and you can stop and pick it up again any time.
How does team access work?
You buy the places, then distribute access to your team members. Each person completes the course in their own time. 5 places cost $220 ($44 per person).

Is this the same as Provide First Aid (HLTAID011)?
No. This is awareness-level training. If your workplace needs accredited first aiders, book an onsite or public Provide First Aid course — we run those too.
Does it replace workplace first aid arrangements?
No. It's an awareness layer that sits alongside proper first aid arrangements — useful where it isn't practicable for everyone to be a trained first aider.
