Fire Warden Training Brisbane
Practical onsite fire warden and Emergency Control Organisation training for Brisbane workplace teams. Your wardens work through their roles, communication flow, search-and-sweep decisions and your site procedures—at your workplace, not in a generic classroom.
Non-accredited workplace training aligned with AS 3745:2010. Public PUAFER005/PUAFER006 courses are not offered on this page.

What happens in an onsite warden session
- Before the session: your organiser shares the current fire and evacuation plan, site notes and any problem areas we should understand.
- Roles and communication: the Chief Warden, deputies and area or floor wardens work through who takes control, who reports what and how status reaches the person making decisions.
- Site decisions: we cover exits, assembly areas, mobility needs, alarm escalation and situations where a clear script is safer than improvisation.
- Search and sweep practice: wardens rehearse practical search patterns, reporting and safe escalation without treating the exercise as permission to enter danger.
- Next actions: your organiser leaves with clear points to feed into the next evacuation practice, induction or procedure review.
The practical gap we train for
A written plan can be sound while the live response still becomes noisy. In recent TFA site work, the recurring weak point has been communication: who reports the alarm, who acknowledges it, who tracks swept areas and who keeps the Chief Warden free to make decisions. That is why this workshop gives reporting and role clarity as much attention as the evacuation route itself.
“Ben made the whole experience easy to follow and engaging.”

Who the workshop is for
Schools, childcare centres, clinics, offices, warehouses and other Brisbane workplaces with people named in their Emergency Control Organisation or fire and evacuation plan. The workshop can include the site's Chief Warden, deputies and area or floor wardens as one team.
This page is for private onsite workplace groups. If you need a nationally recognised PUAFER005 or PUAFER006 Statement of Attainment, an online-only course or a public individual booking, this is not that offer.
Common questions
Is fire warden training required in Queensland?
Queensland's Building Fire Safety Regulation 2008 requires occupiers to give evacuation coordination instructions at least annually to people responsible for carrying out the procedures in the building's fire and evacuation plan. Extra timing rules apply when responsible people, occupiers or procedures change. The right arrangement depends on the building and its plan; this TFA workshop is practical onsite training, not legal certification.
Is this nationally recognised fire warden training?
No. This TFA workshop is non-accredited workplace training and does not issue PUAFER005 or PUAFER006 Statements of Attainment. It is for organisations wanting their warden team to practise roles and procedures at their own site.
Does it cover Chief Wardens?
It can include the site's Chief Warden, deputies and area or floor wardens as one workplace team. The session is scoped around the roles in your current plan; it is not a nationally recognised Chief Warden qualification.
Can Team First Aid use our evacuation plan?
Yes. We can refer to your current plan and site notes during the workshop. Preparing, approving or certifying the plan is separate specialist work unless it is expressly included in your quote.
Is this the same as extinguisher training?
No. Warden training focuses on emergency roles, evacuation and coordination. VR fire extinguisher training is a separate hands-on workshop and can be bundled.
Can we bundle it with first aid?
Yes. The current offer is 30% off the fire-training component when bundled with onsite first aid training. We can plan the cleanest combination for one workplace visit.
