What Is Low Voltage Rescue Training?
Low voltage rescue (LVR) training teaches electrical workers how to safely rescue a person from contact with live low voltage electrical apparatus. The course covers isolation procedures, rescue techniques, and CPR in the context of electrical emergencies.
This course is delivered in combination with HLTAID009 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation, ensuring participants also fulfil the yearly CPR requirements for electrical professions.

LVR Training FAQs
How often does LVR certification need to be renewed?
Check your workplace policy — many employers require annual renewal. The CPR component (HLTAID009) is recommended to be refreshed every 12 months.
What's the minimum group size for onsite LVR?
Minimum 6 attendees. For smaller teams, check our public course dates at Murrumba Downs or Bunya.
Can you do LVR training at our job site?
Yes — we regularly deliver LVR training on construction sites, workshops, and industrial facilities across Brisbane. We bring all equipment. You just need a covered area large enough for the group.
What's the difference between LVR and LVR + First Aid?
LVR (UETDRMP018 + HLTAID009) covers rescue and CPR. The combo adds HLTAID011 Provide First Aid — covering wound management, burns, fractures, and medical emergencies. One session, two certifications.
Is UETDRMP018 the same as UETTDRRF06?
UETDRMP018 is the current unit of competency for LVR, replacing the older UETTDRRF06 (and UETTDRRF004 before that). Same practical skills, updated code.
Is the certification nationally recognised?
Yes. All courses are delivered on behalf of ABC First Aid (RTO 3399) and result in nationally recognised Statements of Attainment.
